Where The Heck Is Fisherman's Village?

Our property owner's pool is perfect on a hot summer's day.

Fisherman's Village

Coming Soon!  The community is currently in the process of restoring an area historic building which was slated to be demolished.  After the relocation and other necessary work, it will once again serve as a community center as well as our club house.  The old school house turned community center was actually built, stick by stick, by the ancestors of longtime area residents.  We are so pleased to be able to save this piece of history with a building that will be able to continue to serve our community for decades to come.

Fisherman’s Village at Boca Chica is the perfect getaway for anyone who loves the outdoors, especially fishing, boating, and swimming.  Community members have full saltwater access into Carancahua Bay via the property owner’s boat ramp and fishing pier.

Luckily, we went through Hurricane Harvey only slightly scathed.  We did, however, lose our pier.  Construction on the new pier is expected to begin within the next few months.  It will likely be a community effort with help local community members and with the fundraising efforts of the Boca Chica Beautification Committee.

The boat launch serves as the gateway to Matagorda Bay and the Gulf of Mexico beyond.  The Boca Chica Beautification Committee is focusing on improving the entire boat launch region.  Recent enhancements include an improved parking area and new picnic shelters.
